Some past activities
- During the 2020-2021 IAS Special Year on Geometric and Modular Representation Theory, Geordie Williamson and I co-organized the special year seminar.
- During July 23-27, 2018, Simon Riche and I each gave five hour-long lectures for Summer School "Geometric, Algebraic and Combinatorial Methods in Modular Representation Theory" at FRIAS / University of Freiburg. The subject was the proof of the character formula for tilting modules of reductive groups (completed in our paper joint with Pramod Achar and Geordie Williamson). Notes for my lectures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
(My collaborators also organized an Oberwolfach Seminar in November 2018 and the Dacha seminar in July 2019 on this material. Full notes for all 24(!!) talks are available for the latter.) - In June 26 - July 7, 2017, I helped Ben Elias and Geordie Williamson run a two-week MSRI Summer Graduate School on Soergel Bimodules (videos available). Together with Ulrich Thiel, we expanded the contents of this workshop into a book, Introduction to Soergel Bimodules.
Things and Stuff
- Because this seems to confuse many people, including some of my collaborators: "Makisumi" is my last name. I usually go by "Macky," an anglicization of my Japanese nickname "Makkī" (マッキー), which comes from the first part of my last name.
- During high school, I went to the Canada/USA Mathcamp summer program. It's awesome.
